TYPES OF MOUNTING: Inside mounted shades will be slightly smaller to fit inside the window frame. A minimum frame depth of 2.5 inches is required for secure installation. If your frame depth is less than 2.5 inches, please choose outside mount. Outside mounted shades should match the width of the area you want to cover. They are often used when there is not enough frame depth for inside mounting. All necessary mounting hardware is included for both inside and outside mounts.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENTS: Step 1 - Measure the inside frame width at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest measurement and deduct 1/4 inch for ordering. Step 2 - Measure the height at the left, middle, and right side. Use the smallest measurement for ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENTS: Step 1 - Add 6-10 inches to the outside frame width for the mount width. Step 2 - Add 5-10 inches to the outside frame length for the mount length. This allows for proper coverage and eliminates light gaps.
